Bellweather is seeking a Full-Time Business Development Associate to support our growth by developing client proposals, conducting outreach and research, and managing our events and partner calendars. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, organized, and energized by turning ideas into action. You’ll work closely with leadership to execute business development strategies that expand our presence in the nonprofit, healthcare, and travel sectors.

Your Responsibilities

Proposal Development & RFP Management:

  • Lead the creation of high-quality, customized proposals that clearly communicate Bellweather’s value and offerings.
  • Review and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) with attention to deadlines and requirements.
  • Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to develop content and support pitch presentations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather assets and meet proposal deadlines.

Client Research & Outreach:

  • Research prospective clients, projects, and funding opportunities in our core sectors.
  • Conduct outreach to potential partners and decision-makers via email, social platforms, or networking.
  • Track and follow up on outreach efforts to maintain momentum and build relationships.
  • Create and schedule social media content aligned with the business development strategy, with a focus on reaching decision-makers in our core sectors.

CRM & Project Management:

  • Maintain and update our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, keeping leads, contacts, and activities organized.
  • Track outreach, proposal status, and outcomes to support reporting and prioritization.
  • Maintain and update budget tracking documents in collaboration with leadership; support quarterly updates to partner forecasts.

Calendar Management & Events:

  • Maintain calendars of upcoming RFPs, industry events, and partnership meetings.
  • Support event planning, registration, and follow-up for conferences, presentations, and networking opportunities.
  • Identify speaking and sponsorship opportunities aligned with our growth goals.

Collaboration & Team Support:

  • Work closely with our leadership, strategy, and creative teams to execute business development efforts.
  • Stay informed about Bellweather’s work to speak confidently about our services and expertise.
  • Contribute to internal operations by keeping materials organized and projects on track.
Your Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, editorial, research, or project coordination—ideally within a creative agency, nonprofit, publishing house, or similar environment that values precision, writing, and organization.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, especially in crafting proposals and professional emails.
  • Highly organized with experience managing deadlines and juggling multiple projects.
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently while collaborating across teams.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments and managing multiple priorities at once.
  • A proactive, can-do mindset with an interest in mission-driven work.
