Freelance Digital Project Manager

Bellweather is seeking a freelance Digital Project Manager to join our team and help bring bold, thoughtful, and strategic digital work to life. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate with our team of designers, writers, strategists, and developers to deliver digital-first projects—ranging from websites and content marketing to social media campaigns and multi-channel experiences—while ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for clients and collaborators alike.
This is a fast-paced role that involves managing a high volume of digital projects with multiple moving parts. You’ll serve as a primary point of contact for clients, manage timelines and resources, and ensure deliverables meet expectations. Expert-level organization, communication, and problem-solving are a must.

This is a remote position. While we offer flexibility in your day-to-day schedule, availability during Eastern Time Zone business hours is required.

Salary: $40-$50 per hour

Your Responsibilities
  • Define and prioritize digital deliverables at the onset of each project; develop and manage digital project timelines and workflows
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring a clear and professional line of communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Works closely and collaborates with the research and strategy coordinator
  • Facilitate the execution of websites, digital campaigns, email marketing, paid media, content production, and other digital experiences
  • Manage daily and weekly tasks, keeping team members on track and aligned with project timelines and digital best practices
  • Proactively flag risks, track scope and budget, and surface potential issues with clarity and solutions in mind
  • Collaborate with department leads to resource internal team members appropriately across projects
  • Lead internal and external project meetings, including client check-ins, internal kickoffs, and team stand-ups
  • Use digital tools to manage communication, track tasks, and deliver assets effectively, including Slack, Asana, Wrike, G-Suite, and Dropbox
  • Ensure timely delivery and trafficking of digital assets across channels and platforms
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve digital project workflows and internal processes
Your Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in digital project management, preferably within a creative, advertising, or marketing agency
  • Proven track record of managing website builds, email campaigns, social content, and/or digital advertising deliverables
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask and keep multiple digital projects moving simultaneously
  • Fluency in project management tools such as Asana, Wrike, Trello, or similar platforms
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable interfacing directly with clients and guiding them through a digital production process
  • Collaborative spirit with a keen ability to listen, adapt, and respond to feedback constructively
  • Experience managing cross-functional digital teams (strategy, design, dev, content) is highly valued
  • Familiarity with asset management, QA, and digital file trafficking
  • Understanding of digital workflows, CMS systems, and production timelines is a plus
