Your Responsibilities
  • Inputting and validating content into websites
      • Basic knowledge of WordPress, including page creation, media uploads, block editors, inserting and formatting content, inserting image and files, and entering metadata.
      • Support the build and maintenance of WordPress websites using beginner-level HTML, CSS, and Gutenberg or block-based builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
      • Familiarity with HTML and CSS (you don’t need to be a developer, but should be comfortable making small edits or tweaks).
      • Assist with content migration and special projects as we redesign websites and other digital initiatives; including keeping a detailed record of content migration, issues, and questions. Editorial or long-form writing is not required, but proper grammar and attention to detail are necessary.
  • Ensure content and metadata follow digital best practices and 508/Accessibility compliance
      • Reviewing existing content for accessibility.
      • Revising styling, metadata, titles, text, and images.
  • Doing detail-oriented quality assurance (QA) review on multiple platforms
      • Working closely with designers and developers to perform quality control on responsive websites, on mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms.
      • Reviewing website design mockups and ensuring that website development matches designs.
      • Listening to internal and client feedback and creating actionable next steps for the design, content, and development team.
      • Working closely with Project Managers to ensure deadlines are met and clear communication is ensured between the internal team and client.
Nice to Haves
  • WordPress experience preferred, but not required. It is important that you are organized, not afraid to ask questions, and are ready to learn.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Exposure to basic SEO principles.
  • Experience with Figma or reviewing design files for feedback on how designs fit into the digital landscape.
  • Interest in growing technical skills, such as learning JavaScript and WordPress development tools and integrations, including Webflow and Elementor.
