For CIAA, we built an electrified brand and campaign to project energy and excitement for the CIAA’s tournament and move to Baltimore.
The potential economic impact for the City is significant: $50 million according to the Baltimore Sun. We collaborated with Visit Baltimore and CIAA on campaigns to generate excitement for the move and tournament.
The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), America's oldest historically Black athletic conference, chose Baltimore to host its basketball tournaments starting in 2021. Collaborating with Visit Baltimore and the CIAA, we launched campaigns to build anticipation for the move and the tournament.
Following the success of the inaugural virtual tournament week experience in 2021, titled CIAA Virtual Vibe: Tournament Edition, the decision was made to keep the CIAA in Baltimore until at least 2025. Mayor Brandon M. Scott expressed enthusiasm for the ongoing partnership, highlighting the opportunity to showcase Black excellence and generate economic benefits for the city, state, local businesses, and communities, while also supporting students attending historically Black colleges and universities.
