Bellweather led the website strategy, design, build, and content creation for the new Provincetown Office of Tourism website.

The redesigned website combines elements from the Town’s history alongside custom illustrations that come to life via SVG animation. Our strategy and design decisions were the result of robust research and community engagement.

The website design reflects the culture, community, and nature found in Provincetown. Custom illustrations are layered throughout that reference vintage nautical tattoos, brought to life via lightning-fast SVG animation. Gentle gradients animate key pages, referencing the incredible light found in Provincetown. The content and information architecture were built from a strong foundation of organic search research, leading to new visitor-driven content sections such as Whale Watching, Arts & Culture Legacy, and Sustainability. Organic visits have grown by an astonishing 337% since the relaunch.

One of the biggest goals of the redesign was to attract visitors to this town during the shoulder seasons: fall, winter, and spring. We created seasonal pages to highlight the town's offerings year-round, designing the pages to reflect the look and feel of each season. Provincetown hosts events all four seasons, and they are critical to the town's economy. We created lively event pages that is easy to search and filter.
