We are actively seeking a Freelance Content Writer to collaborate with our dynamic and growing team. As a Content Writer at Bellweather, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our clients' narratives and delivering compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences.

This is a 6-month contract with options to extend. We prioritize candidates in the Eastern Time Zone to ensure seamless collaboration. Join us and contribute to our innovative and forward-thinking team!

About the role

Your Responsibilities

  • Create engaging, educational content across various formats (blog posts, reports, newsletters, ads, case studies, guides, emails, short videos, and campaigns) to strategically drive engagement and growth.
  • Write and optimize SEO-focused content for enhanced online visibility and effective audience reach.
  • Develop impactful ad copy for paid social, brand, and performance marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrate expertise in streamlined, clear, and grammatically impeccable writing, emphasizing the impact of each word.
  • Seamlessly transition between diverse writing tasks, including crafting video scripts, editing articles, creating website copy, and initiating social media campaigns.
  • Showcase versatility in tackling content across diverse subjects like healthcare, travel & tourism, non-profit/not-for-profit, and civic & public.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams (art, UX, strategy) to create exceptional, brand-aligned content.
  • Write and edit various content types, including video scripts, articles, white papers, digital, social, display, and body copy.
  • Craft unique, emotionally-driven, audience-centric stories that resonate with target demographics.
  • Develop subject matter expertise for designated accounts, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Enforce brand guidelines for consistent, identity-aligned client work.
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of SEO best practices for informed content creation and optimization.
